Spreading the word

Chicago Union Cares was on site at yesterday’s open tryouts for the Union team.

With over 80 athletes vying for a coveted spot on the 2024 Union roster, this was a great chance to introduce CUC to more current and future players.

Despite the bitter cold outside, competition heated up quickly on the indoor turf fields at Com Ed Rec Center. Chicago Union captains Jack Shanahan, Ben Preiss and Sam Kaminsky led athletes through a series of scrimmages and combine-type drills. Returning coach Dave Woods is optimistic that 2024 will return the Union to their Central Division dominance.

In keeping with the spirit of the Team’s name, Union players are embracing CUC’s mission of helping youth reach their full potential through the power of ultimate. CUC can’t wait to help more kids fall in love with the sport through the coaching and mentorship which Union players will be providing. Let’s go Chicago Union!
