The chicago union

The Chicago Union are a member of the Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA), a professional men’s league formed in 2012. UFA consists of 24 teams and four divisions across North America. Their home field is at Northwestern University’s Martin Stadium in Evanston, Illinois.

The Union play in UFA’s Central Division. The Union won the Central Division Championship in 2021 and 2022 and have made the playoffs six times since the Team was formed in 2013.

Fans selected the “Chicago Union” name in 2021 to replace its original name, the “Wildfire.” This name change signifies the importance of unity and the team’s commitment to bringing Chicagoland together through the power of sport.

The UFA was previously known as the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL). Its name change to the Ultimate Frisbee Association was effective January 2024 and represents a bold vision to grow the sport and elevate ultimate frisbee into mainstream sports entertainment. The UFA has partnered with Sport Dimension, Inc., the owner of the Wham-O family of brands and the iconic Frisbee® trademark. Starting with the 2024 season, the UFA will be using its own new Professional Ultimate Frisbee™ for all games.
