JAKE RUBIN-MILLER, Youth Director & Head Coach

Jake Rubin-Miller is the Youth Director of Chicago Union Cares and the Head Coach, as well as the Youth Director for the Chicago Union.

He is also a member of the Union, recording 20 total blocks during the 2024 season and landing a spot on the League’s defense first team.

Jake is an ABA therapist, working with preschoolers with autism to promote their autonomy and social/emotional skills. He coaches the Lane Tech High School girl's ultimate team, voLTage.

He started playing ultimate at summer camp, then in high school at Bard Manhattan. Jake attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in both Evolutionary Biology and Education Studies. He joined the UFA in 2022, playing for the Madison Radicals before joining the Chicago Union in 2024.

With a background in coaching and education, Jake brings deep experience working with kids ages 2-17 in a variety of settings, including sports, school, and social justice. He has organized and taught numerous clinics, camps, leagues, and tournaments. He is focused on including young people of all genders, racial backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses.
